West Kowloon is committed to providing cultural facilities that are accessible for everyone. As we move towards completing our venues, we are trialling a new form of completely autonomous, zero-emissions vehicle that will help visitors navigate the district.

The driverless electric vehicle operates on a fixed route within the Nursery Park (see below for schedule and map) and is free for use by all park visitors. Fully equipped with sensors to identify traffic and road signs and detect everything in its path, it offers an environmentally friendly mobility solution that interacts safely with pedestrians, small children and pets.

Passengers can board the vehicle at any of the boarding points marked on the map below.

We regret that we are unable to accommodate wheelchair users during the initial trial period. A wheelchair-accessible vehicle will be trialled in the near future.

Preventive measures against the coronavirus (COVID-19) in the Autonomous Vehicle
To protect the safety of our passengers and staff members and to support the Government’s work to prevent and control the new coronavirus, the Authority has implemented the following precautionary measures to ensure a safe and hygienic environment in the Autonomous Vehicle.

  • Passengers
Please bring your own mask and wear it properly throughout your journey. Masks are not available in the Autonomous Vehicle. Temperature checks are carried out for passengers at the shuttle bus stop. Visitors with fever and respiratory symptoms, such as cough, sore throat, and runny nose, are advised to reschedule their visits.
Passengers are responsible for their own rubbish. Autonomous Vehicle Guide has the right to refuse get in the vehicle to those who do not comply with the above measures.
  • Employees
Daily temperature checks are carried out for all front-line staff before work. They are required to wear their masks properly and clean their hands frequently with hand sanitizers when they are on duty.
  • Facilities
All public facilities are cleaned and disinfected everyday. Some facilities undergo more frequent cleaning if needed.

The West Kowloon Cultural District Authority has been closely monitoring the development of the recent epidemic. WKCDA will review the situation accordingly and take any necessary measures to ensure the safety and hygiene of the Autonomous Vehicle. We appreciate your understanding and support and would like to apologise for any inconvenience caused.
