Freespace Fest
Freespace and Art Park, West Kowloon , 13.12.2019 to 15.12.2019
Freespace Fest on 13-15 December 2019 (Friday-Sunday) will be rescheduled. Details will be announced on the West Kowloon Cultural District website www.westkowloon.hk in due course.
This December, join us at Freespace and the calm, green waterfront oasis of our Art Park for a weekend of indoor and outdoor multi-genre, boundary-pushing events and activities to mark the opening of Hong Kong’s new space for bold contemporary performance.
Freespace Fest promises a diverse programme of local and international artists and art forms – including music, dance, theatre, workshops, installations, community activities, guided tours, camping and more. It also offers space and time for Hong Kong people of all ages, backgrounds and interests to come together, to reflect on our city’s open and eclectic culture, and to find joy and community in the creative, nurturing power of the arts.
Highlights include the participatory performance spectacle Fun Run Hong Kong with Australian company All The Queen’s Men, Pop-up Duets dance performances by award-winning choreographer Janis Claxton, Colony, an interactive installation of sonic sculptures from the UK, and special screenings of the Hong Kong edition of The Democratic Set, an experimental video portrait project.
