“In an age defined by digital spectacle, there is a renewed sense of wonder in these handcrafted illusions” - The Age

Come play with Everybody’s giant body parts.

A disembodied Eye, Ear, Mouth, Nose, Hand and Foot all show up together in Taikoo Place! A giant Hand embraces bystanders, a Foot blocks the path and enormous tears fall silently from an Eye. Snot the size of a small child oozes from a giant nostril.  Careful what you say; an Ear, tall as door, might be listening.

This absurd exploration of the human body celebrates the shared flesh of all humankind.

This project has been assisted by the Australian Government through the Department of Communications and the Arts' Catalyst—Australian Arts and Culture Fund. Snuff Puppets is supported by the Victorian Government through Creative Victoria.

Company Bio:

Snuff Puppets from Melbourne, Australia is a big, brute and anarchic puppet troupe for everybody. Unashamedly hand-made and experimental in a world fixated on perfection and mass-production, Snuff Puppets make visceral performance that breaks down the distance between audience and performer.

For 25 years Snuff Puppets have been unleashing their giant puppet spectacles on millions of people worldwide. They have travelled to dozens of countries across 5 continents and created more than 25 new works in partnership with communities through their People’s Puppet Projects.
