Enjoy the Tranquility of Nature – A Day at the Art Park
There’s plenty to do in West Kowloon that will let you immerse yourself in art, culture and nature the whole day long
From Kowloon Station, follow the directions to West Kowloon Cultural District. Pass the footbridge over the Cross-Harbour Tunnel and continue down Museum Drive to reach the entrance of the West Kowloon Art Park. From there the West Kowloon’s waterfront promenade is a few steps away, and offers uninterrupted views of the Hong Kong skyline, Victoria Harbour and the outlying islands.
Make yourselves comfortable on the park’s lawns, get laid back in our deck chairs or snuggle up on a West Kwoloon inflatable sofa. There are plenty of food options available nearby, so this might just be the perfect time for an impromptu picnic.
Tired out from all that relaxing? Rent some SmartBikes and enjoy a ride together along the waterfront. And of course, don’t forget to take some photos along the way. The Competition Pavilion also offers a stunning backdrop for special photos that will get a great reaction, as does the Freespace Mural.
By now it’s probably time for afternoon tea. Take a break at REST, or grab a snack at Wabi Sabi Coffee. Whatever you need to rest and recharge — coffee, iced fruity drinks, finger food — our restaurants and cafes have it covered, and then some.
Time flies when you are spending time with someone special. Before you head off for dinner or a show at one of our venues, make sure you find a good spot on the waterfront promenade, camera at the ready, to catch the sunset.
Accompanied by panoramic views of Victoria Harbour, dining experience along seaside restaurants sets the tone for a pleasant, slow-paced evening after an eventful afternoon.
Most importantly if you want to get cultural, West Kowloon is the place to be. Take a look at what’s happening at our venues, Freespace and enjoy live music in Lau Bak Livehouse.
