What role does dramaturgy play in contemporary theatre? How to connect theatre and society through dramaturgy? How do artists benefit from dramaturgy when developing a work? With examples from contemporary European theatres and theatrical forms familiar to the Hong Kong audience: classical text, new writing, documentary theatre and postdramatic theatre, Professor Christoph Lepschy will share his experience on dramaturgical practices.
