On 7 May, the Hong Kong Committee for UNICEF hosts the China Children’s Week 2017 – “Little Artists Big Dreams Drawing Competition” on the Central Lawn in the Nursery Park. Taking place a week before Mother’s Day, the competition is designed to raise funds for UNICEF’s ‘Cash Transfers for Deprived Children’, a project dedicated to providing a good start in life for every child by improving maternal and child health services in China. The competition not only provides young artists a chance to creatively show their love for their mothers, but also to champion the spirit of ‘kids helping kids’ and show their support for mothers and children in rural China.
The event includes a family-friendly carnival, where visitors can make fundraising T-shirts, take part in face painting or join parent-and-child workshops. There will also be an educational exhibition, charity sales and lots of other exciting booth activities!
