What is the difference between the Artist-led Activities and Artist-led Community Activities ? Is it compulsory for the school to join the Artist-led Community Activities ? Does the group of students attending each of these activities need to be the same?

Artist-led Community Activities are part of the M+ Rover programme and act as an extension of the Artist-led Activities . Each of the artist-led activities gives students a unique experience. In the Artist-led Activities , students become the co-producers who contribute to the artist’s work; in the Artist-led Community Activities , students take on the role of facilitators of the artist’s work, initiating dialogues and activities with the public as their own understanding of the work deepens. Ideally, the group of students participating in these activities would be the same, in order to make the learning experience more complete.

Are the pre-workshop classroom activities compulsory for all participating students? And what is the content of these activities?

Participation in pre-workshop activities is optional. The aim of these activities is to introduce the participating artist and participatory art practices so that students are able to easily engage with the Artist-led Activities and M+ Rover experience. Schools are required to arrange a classroom with A/V equipment and a group of at least 15 F.3 to F.6 participating students to ensure that the Artist-led Activities can be facilitated smoothly. M+ will arrange dates and times once the schedule for in-school activities is confirmed.

Details of our community sessions will be announced on our website nearer the time.
