In the next five years, a large number of performing arts centres will open in mainland China, Hong Kong, Macau and Taiwan. The Producers’ Network Meeting and Forum (PNMF), established by West Kowloon’s Performing Arts Department in 2015, brings together producers, mainly from the Chinese speaking region, to explore the effects on the arts ecosystem, the change and development in the role of producers, and the continued development of artistic content and audiences. Its goal is to promote the role of producers and curators as facilitators between artists and key stakeholders in the arts ecosystem.

This May, the third PNMF takes place with a four-day, closed-door meeting and public forum focused on co-production planning and networking strategies. Leaders from organisations dedicated to co-production and joint network collaboration will share their experiences: presenting case studies, analysing key success factors and exploring collaboration possibilities. The meeting also includes sessions where professional participants can share their concepts for future creative projects and look for partners and collaborators.

The four-day meeting and forum will give participants concrete takeaways that can be built on at subsequent events, and that it will help develop a strong network among colleagues in the Asia-Pacific region in the coming years.
