Screendance Learning Programme – Trainer’s Manual

The trainer’s manual aims to provide facilitators with introductory methods and reference materials that guide students to engage in screendance production. The content is designed for flexible use. Facilitators may revise the manual according to their own needs and incorporate it into the teaching of other subjects. The manual consists of two courses designed for students from different backgrounds:

  1. Demonstration talk: The talk focuses on the basic elements of screendance creation and appreciation;
  2. Individual units: The course introduces the choreography, cinematography and editing techniques used in screendance. It also illustrates how students can employ moving visuals and the language of gesture to express their imagination and ideas through the conception, shooting, editing and screening of their own screendance work.
