WE Dance (2016-17)

Dance is an instinctive language we all know in our bones, a rhythm we all have in our heart.
Every month from September 2016 to February 2017 WE Dance takes place at Freespace Happening, bringing exciting participatory dance experiences to the Nursery Park. Join us there for an afternoon of dance and movement – and enjoy the fresh smell of grass and the beautiful harbour front skyline at the same time!
Based on the concept that anyone can dance, WE Dance is a series of showcases and workshops led by local dance partners that audiences of all kinds can take part in.
Come along on the dates below – and don’t be surprised if the person next to you on the lawn jumps up and dances for you, or you’re enticed to learn some interesting moves while walking along the waterfront!
On 12 February 2017, we will be joined by all of our dance partners for a big WE Dance finale party.

WE Dance is a community programme inspired by the Big Dance Pledge 2016 (HK), event held at the West Kowloon Cultural District on 20 May 2016 and based on the Big Dance 2016 choreography by world-renowned artist Akram Khan.
