Asian Design: Histories, Collecting, Curating
Asia Society Hong Kong Center , 03.12.2012
Organised by M+, "Asian Design: Histories, Collecting, Curating" is an evening of talks and panel discussions resulting from a two-day internal workshop. The discussion brings together 12 leading international scholars, curators and thinkers from Hong KOng and around the world to explore the shifting parameters, and their conceptual and methodological implications, of historicising, collecting and curating Asian design. As M+ prepares to build the first museum collection of design and architecture of its kind, what are the local-global issues, multiple narratives and cross-disciplinary approaches that need to be considered?
