The Toy Clinic is open for appointments at Freespace Happening on 9 Oct! Volunteer physicians will provide a professional toy ‘medical’, offering a helping hand to mend and rejuvenate your favourite toys, and a sympathetic ear to listen to their stories!

Next to the clinic there will also be a toy swap booth, where you can bring toys for exchange or adopt a toy that catches your eye!

Toy Swap Day



Next to the Toy Clinic we will also have a “Toy Swap Day” booth where you can bring toys for exchange or adopt a toy that catches your eye! Toys can be exchanged for Toy Swap Vouchers which can be used to exchange for other toys on the day.

Toy Swap Vouchers can also be purchased at HK$10 each, each voucher is worth 2 Two Swap Points. All proceeds will be donated to Principal Chan Free Tutorial World for tutorial services for underprivileged children.

About Toy Swap:
- Toys need to be functioning well, clean and safe.
- New toys are accepted.
- All toys in the Toy Swap are sanitized with alcohol.
- Bring your own bag.
- Remaining toys will be donated to YMCA Toy Bank.

The following toys are not accepted:
- Puzzles
- Games with missing pieces
- Fluffy toys
- Chewing toys
- Clothes, accessories, utensils
- Souvenirs
- Gifts from fast food shop

The Musical: Treasure the Toys



On 9 Oct, invited by ohmykids, Hong Kong Children’s Musical Theatre will perform “Treasure the Toys” at Freespace Happening. The show is an excerpt from the musical “A Big Melon’s Tour of Hong Kong”, a story about loving and cherishing everyone and everything around us.

Talk – Pals with Pups



Freespace Happening collaborates with several animal welfare organisations to promote responsible pet care and respect for all forms of life. In October, volunteers from the Society for Abandoned Animals will talk to owners about how to improve communication with their dogs.

About Society for Abandoned Animals

The Society for Abandoned Animals Ltd. (SAA) is a non-profit charitable organisation established on 4 June 1997 and located in Yuen Long, Hong Kong. With the generous support of the public, the organisation have grown from a small shelter for 60 animals to one of the largest animal shelters in Hong Kong. Operating under a no-kill policy, our animal sanctuary is currently the home for approximately 300 abandoned dogs, cats, rabbits, birds and farm animals. Apart from our animal sanctuary, their service also includes an animal adoption scheme, a veterinary clinic with affordable, high-quality medical service, a humane population control programme for stray dogs and cats covering New Territories North (free de-sex programme), an animal hotline for pet care and behavioural advice, regular seminars at educational establishments and community centres on topics such as animal welfare, cruelty and ecology.
