Over the next five years, the international dance scene will see exciting developments in Asia with the establishment of a number of large-scale new arts centres and dance festivals. The sustainability of this new arts and culture infrastructure will depend on competitive forms of content creation, audience development, programming strategies and artistic positioning. The T-Talk session at this year’s Tanzmesse brings together key people involved in establishing new venues and events in Asia to share news and updates about their projects and talk about models of art making, producing, presenting, audience development and cultural exchange.

The T-Talk session is taking place as part of Tanzmesse, a biennial event held in Düsseldorf, Germany that hosts the largest professional gathering dedicated exclusively to contemporary dance. Tanzmesse offers dance groups, dancers and arts practitioners in the international dance sector a platform to meet and find partners, resources and sponsorships. Programmes include performance, open-studio sessions, forums and seminars.
