In Shirley Tse: Stakes and Holders, Tse explores ancient and recent technologies in craft, manufacturing, and communications to create works that shed light on contemporary society.

In this conversation with guest curator Christina Li, Tse discusses her work with various tools throughout the two decades of her sculptural practice. The artist unpacks her thinking and processes, placing particular emphasis on the ways in which technologies and the objects we use shape our realities.

Online workshop: Emulsion not Solution: Connection across Differences through Art and Empathic Dialogue
 

Nonviolent communication is a method of exercising agency within differences—one of the main concepts in Stakes and Holders. This workshop fosters mindful and empathic conversation, encouraging participants to approach the exhibition through deep listening exercises and authentic dialogue. Through an open facilitated group discussion, participants can connect and share their experiences of the exhibition.

The online workshop has limited capacity and seats are offered on a first-come, first-served basis.
