Ryuichi Sakamoto fans in Hong Kong may have to wait a bit longer for the artist to set forth on an inspiring music journey at Freespace in the West Kowloon Cultural District. The performance will be rescheduled to December 2021 with more details to be announced in September 2021.
Ryuichi Sakamoto said, ‘I feel very sorry that we have to postpone the Hong Kong live show twice. However, we will make sure we will reschedule them so that people will be able to enjoy them. So, until we see next time, please stay safe and healthy.’
Paul Tam, Executive Director, Performing Arts of West Kowloon Cultural District Authority (the Authority), said, ‘We have been working very closely with the Sakamoto team to arrange for his highly anticipated performances to grace our stage as soon as the situation and the maestro's schedule allow. Your patience and support are very much appreciated.’
The Authority is offering a full refund to all ticket holders, ensuring Sakamoto fans enjoy greater flexibility in the course of ticket rearrangement. All ticket holders will be contacted directly by email or phone for refund starting from 29 July 2020. A full refund will be automatically deposited to the same credit card account used for ticket holders’ purchases by 15 October 2020, while no refund in either cash or cheque will be made. Asia Miles members who have redeemed tickets with miles will receive email notification from Asia Miles by 31 July 2020 for rearrangement.
All ticket holders will be eligible for a priority purchase for the corresponding rescheduled performance in December 2021 at the same price, quantity, and seat as their original booking.
