Nebuta Goldfish Workshop

The Aomori Nebuta Festival was a ritual to drive away the demon of drowsiness or sleepiness.  The Japanese usually make goldfish paper lanterns to entertain children and to bring in good luck. 

In this workshop, the tutor will teach you how to make a goldfish nebuta from stretching red-dyed paper over a bamboo framework.

Mini Dim Sum Necklace / Storage Workshop

Hong Kong people enjoy yum cha (“drink tea”) and eating dim sum, which are small portions of Cantonese dishes and dumplings often served in bamboo baskets. 

In the workshop inspired by Hong Kong’s dim sum culture, you can make your own old-Hong-Kong-style mini dim sum necklace or box by using soft clay.
