C Chung is an outstanding painter and songwriter. Not only has he received high acclaims for his painting across China, Hong Kong and Taiwan, he also took part in a range of music performances like Toy Soul 2014 and World Music Day in the tram 2015.
Since 2011, singer-songwriter Olga Chung has performed in various live gigs at Backstage Live restaurant, Island East Market and PMQ night market. She composes her original work as well as collaborated with other musicians. Olga’s first solo concert was held in Fullcup Music in October 2012.
Sugar Bro was formed in 2011 by Gordon Kwong and Kan Lo. They play mainly acoustic, rock and pop style music, expressing their own deep feelings by composing melody and lyrics. In 2013, they held a CD release show at Hang Out and being one of the guest bands in a Hang Out music tour. Kirk Wong (Bassist) and Ronny Yeung (Drummer) joined Sugar Bro in 2014. Since then, the band has been bringing more and more original music and performances to their fans.
Founded by a group of energetic young artists, Banana Effect aims at promoting the experience of Immersive Theatre in Hong Kong. The group strives to create works that transcend the visual and auditory senses, and bring this latest form of theatre and Hong Kong culture together.
Banana Effect has performed in various public spaces including the Central Harbourfront Event Space, and also in commercial events. Their first theatre performance at the Hong Kong Arts Centre attracted a full house and was well received.
Hong Kong Ultimate Players Association (HKUPA) is a non-profit organization that organizes Frisbee events all around Hong Kong for people of all ages, and hosts regular pick-up (casual), beginner training, club training and international tournaments.
The HKUPA’s goal and vision is that one day Ultimate Frisbee will grow to be a well-recognized and mainstream sport in Hong Kong. The HKUPA is dedicated to increase both the number of participants in the HKUPA community as well as develop the talent of Ultimate players in Hong Kong.
Formally established in 2004, the School of Hip Hop is a professional break dance school which has garnered great recognition in the industry. Tutors of the school are experienced and have been won numerous awards at international street dance competitions. The school highly treasures the talent and potential of students and hence strive to provide them with opportunities to demonstrate their learning via territory-wide platforms. The school advocates the concept of “Dancing to healthy life”, aiming to shape the personality of youngsters, boost their self-confidence and strengthen the peer-support by integrating Hip Hop culture into adolescent development.
Street workout originated from Russia and Czech in the 1990s. Athletes make use of training devices or railings on the street, and perform dangerous and difficult stunts such as planche, front lever or the human flag.
Street Workout Hong Kong is a self-financed, not-for-profit social project and a member of the World Street Workout and Calisthenics Federation (WSWCF). Performer Ken Lai has participated in the Street Workout World Cup in Russia in 2014. Performer Nicholas Wong was Champion in the WSWCF Street Workout Championship of Hong Kong 2015 and Champion in the Street Workout World Cup Stage of Taiwan. He is representing Hong Kong in the 2015 World Championship and World Cup Final.
