About Lifelong Animal Protection Charity (LAP)
LAP – Lifelong Animal Protection – are an all-volunteer charity based in Hong Kong. Established 18 years ago, the organisation gained full charity status in 2003. LAP’s goal is to find permanent homes for abandoned and neglected companion animals in Hong Kong. The organisation rescues abandoned and stray animals, and takes in animals from government kennels and families who can no longer care for them. The LAP team work to expand their social and foster network to encourage and educate people to adopt animals in need of a home rather than buy companion animals from pet shops or breeders.
