Nike City Jam, one of the biggest annual skateboarding events, comes to West Kowloon Cultural District on 9 August as one of the featured programmes of our first ‘Freespace Happening’. Now in its fifth year, this will be the only City Jam held in the Greater China area, and will bring together some of the region’s best skaters to compete for the winning title. The competition is divided into the Rookie and Open divisions, and skaters of all experiences and nationalities are welcomed to compete for the great prizes at stake. We will also feature performances by some of the best skaters from Hong Kong, Taiwan, and mainland China. Audiences can also give skateboarding a try by joining one of the public trials offered on site.

Over the past four years, Nike City Jam was held at the Mei Foo and Fanling skate parks, Harbour City car park and Yau Ma Tei basketball court. In the 2nd and 3rd editions, veteran pro-skaters Omar Salazar and Stefan Janoski were invited to join.

Due to limited capacity of the competition area, you might need to watch the competition outside the designated area.
