M+ Rover school sessions are composed of two parts:
(i) M+ Rover exhibition and (ii) artist-led activities
(i) M+ Rover exhibition
• All staff and students • Time slots outside the artist-led activities period
All staff and students are welcome to visit the exhibition during recess and time outside the artist-led activities period. Schools are encouraged to arrange guided tours during school hours for all students, whether they are studying art or not. The maximum capacity for each tour is forty students, and the duration is approximately twenty to twenty-five minutes.
(ii) Artist-led activities
• Fifteen to forty P.2 to P.6 students • Two ninety-minute sessions
Interactive games and creative activities are hosted by the participating artist and his collaborators. The experience involves two ninety-minute sessions. The first session should be held in a classroom within one week before the arrival of M+ Rover at the school; the second session should be held at the exhibition space of M+ Rover or the covered playground while M+ Rover is on campus. Schools can arrange for between fifteen and forty P.2 to P.6 students to join. Participating students should attend both sessions for a complete experience.
Schools are welcome to request that M+ Rover park for more than one day to allow for more guided tours for students, if the campus can accommodate overnight parking. M+ will grant the request depending on availability and site condition.
The application is now closed. Results will be announced in December 2019. M+ will send an email to participating schools with programme details.
