From 30 December to 6 January, in the run-up to our official opening on 20 January, the Chinese Artists Association of Hong Kong joins us to present a week-long pre-opening gala for the dedication of our new Grand Theatre stage. Featuring two specially selected set pieces and a series of excerpt performances, the auspicious programme stars some of Hong Kong’s most talented Cantonese opera performers.

In the Tea House Theatre our Rising Stars Troupe offers visitors an introduction to xiqu with a series of one-hour narrated performances. Alongside these free performances, you can also view an exhibition of photos showing the Xiqu Centre’s stunning architectural design, enjoy film screenings and talks or join a guided tour to learn more about our venue and the art of xiqu.
