Screendance 101
15.08.2017 to 19.08.2017
You may be familiar with ballet, street dance and aerobics, but what about “Screendance”? Are videos of dance rehearsals and performances “Screendance”? What about the dance scenes in La La Land or the choreography of a music video?
In this talk, renowned dance video director Maurice Lai explores the relationship between video and dance, sharing his experience of transcending the physical boundaries of dance to create works of Screendance, and looking at how a work of Screendance can be appreciated.
