Inspiring Change Through Performing Arts
The Arts Impact Fellowship 2022 supports young artists, educators, researchers and arts administrators to develop pioneering research initiatives that inspire change, community engagement and audience building. Our goal is to encourage practice-led proposals with the potential for generating social impact and positive change for Hong Kong’s performing arts ecology.
Applications are now open for original research initiatives that embrace the aims of the fellowship and will be conducted in Hong Kong. Priority consideration will be given to initiatives aimed at community engagement of underrepresented groups.
Aims of the fellowship
Applications are welcome from artists, arts administrators, scholars, researchers and postgraduate students aged 40 or below who are keen to develop projects that inspire community change through performing arts. Only applications from individuals are accepted. Each successful fellow will receive HK$60,000 for conducting the projects and related activities. A maximum of HK$10,000 for expenses incurred on project-related activities can be reimbursed.
Proposals for artistic presentations and productions will not be considered.
Awardees are required to provide regular progress reports and deliver a presentation upon project completion. Projects showing promising potential may be considered for future co-development with West Kowloon.
